Summer Undergrad Fellowships Awarded
Undergraduate students Jessica and Kevin were recently awarded summer fellowships. Jessica was awarded funding through the UC San Diego Eureka! Scholarship Program, and Kevin recieved funding from the Frontiers of Innovation Scholars Program (FISP).

Lab Kayaking Day
In continuation of an annual lab tradition, the lab went kayaking in La Jolla Cove. This year was we saw dolphins and sea lions, and enjoyed a relaxing lunch in the park by La Jolla Shores.
Sarah awarded HHMI International Predoctoral Fellowship
Graduate student Sarah Azoubel Lima selected for the prestigious HHMI International Predoctoral Fellowship. She is the first Brazilian to receive the award, and one of only 46 people to receive the award this year.
